191 Visa: Skilled Regional Permanent Residence Visa (Subclass 191)
What is the Subclass 191 Skilled Regional Visa?
The 191 visa offers a pathway to permanent residency for holders of two provisional visas:
- Subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa
- Subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa
To qualify for the 191 visa, you must have lived and worked in a designated regional area for at least three years while holding one of the provisional visas listed above.
Am I Eligible for the 191 Visa?
You can apply for a 191 visa if you are a holder of either a 491 visa or a 494 visa, provided you meet the following criteria:
For Subclass 491 Visa Holders:
- You must have lived, worked, or studied in a designated regional area for at least three years while holding the 491 visa.
- You must meet the health and character requirements.
For Subclass 494 Visa Holders:
- You must have lived and worked in the designated regional area for at least three years while holding the 494 visa.
- There is no minimum income requirement for the 191 visa.
- You must meet the health and character requirements.
